OUR SUPPORT PACKAGES

NeedPro Nurturing Support Service (NNSS) aims to offer a comprehensive service to Local Authorities (LAs) as permitted by legislation, to provide advice, support, guidance and assistance to vulnerable Young People.

We understand that as individual, everyone has different requirements, and some may require more assistance than others. Therefore, Young People will be assessed individually, and a Personal Support plan will be developed.

The plan will identify each Young Person’s needs and ensure that appropriate support is available in the following:

We will have a list of all colleges within our locality. Should any of our Young People want to pursue additional education, employment, training and apprenticeships we will liaise with other organisations to take the next appropriate step.

We will help everyone develop their skills to perform everyday tasks such as paying bills, cleaning, cooking, and shopping.

Doctors’ Surgery, Hospital, Antenatal appointments, Dentists & Opticians – From our list of local Medical Services we will assist them in registering for services and in the cases of Young People that need to be accompany, we will accompany them to each appointment.

Health

We will support with the application process, viewing and helping to move into their own home as require by their local authority

Housing

We support in completing Universal credit applicational, interview and support with understanding their journals and commitment request by DWP and support with budgeting skills.

Finance

Where needed to handle their Asylum claims or other issues, we will assist in finding appropriate legal representatives and help them to understand British Laws, processes and procedures, if they are not familiar with the Country’s basic legalities. We will also escort them to the Home Office.

Social, Cultural and Recreational Activities, to enable our Young People to build relationships and feel a sense of community within their surroundings. Inform them of local cinemas, cafes/restaurants, and social clubs to promote independent living. Also assist Young People to access Libraries, Homework Clubs and Language Clubs etc

Diversity

Young People will be accommodated in semi-independent living in a shared house, they will receive a weekly allowance agreed with the referring LA as part of the package and any extra payments as agreed with Social Services.
